CJV, JV or UCJV?

CJV prints and cuts with eco-solvent ink. JV is the same printer without the cutting head. UCJV prints and cuts with UV-LED ink that cures instantly, so there is no outgassing wait before lamination. All three come in 54 and 64 inch; the UCJV300 also comes in 32 and 42 inch.

Print-only machines pair with a Mimaki CG cutter. Outdoor eco-solvent work is laminated; the LA-160W heat-assisted laminator handles 62.2 in prints and improves adhesion on UV-LED output.

How much does a Mimaki printer cost?

Every Mimaki listing on this site shows its price, from the CG-60AR desktop cutter to the JFX600 production flatbeds. Production printers are quoted with professional installation and training, and equipment ships by freight on a pallet. Financing is available on the equipment financing page.

What is the difference between the Mimaki UCJV300 and UCJV330?

Both are UV-LED roll-to-roll printers with a built-in cutter that run LUS-170 ink. The UCJV300 comes in 32, 42, 54 and 64 inch sizes. The UCJV330 comes in 54 and 64 inch, adds LUS-200 ink, higher speed with the same image quality, up to 5-layer printing, and 2.5D and watermark print modes.

What is the difference between Mimaki CJV and JV printers?

CJV machines print and contour cut in one unit. JV machines are print only. The JV330-130 and JV330-160 are the CJV330 printers without the cutting head, so if you already own a vinyl cutter you like, buy the JV.

Which ink does my Mimaki printer take?

UCJV300 and UCJV330: LUS-170, plus LUS-200 on the UCJV330. UJV100-160 Plus: LUS-170. JFX200: LH-100, LUS-120, LUS-150, LUS-350 and PR-200. JFX600: LH-100, LUS-120, LUS-150, LUS-211 and PR-200. UJF-3042 and UJF-6042 MkII e: LH-100, LUS-120 and LUS-150. CJV330 and JV330: SS21. CJV200: SS22. TxF150-75 and TxF300-75: PHT50. TS330-1600: Sb411 and Sb410. Every ink page lists the printers it fits.

Can I switch a Mimaki printer from one ink type to another?

No. Mimaki printers are designed to run a single ink type. Once an ink type is installed, changing to another requires a complete system flush and cleaning, and an improper ink change can damage the printer and void the warranty.

Can I run SS21 eco-solvent ink at home or in an office?

No. Mimaki Super Solvent ink is for commercial and industrial use only and requires ventilation. It cannot be used in a home or office.

What room conditions does a Mimaki printer need?

Mimaki specifies 68 to 86 F (20 to 30 C) and 35 to 65 percent humidity with no condensation, no direct sunlight, no air blowing on the machine, a level floor and office-level dust. Our Tips from Techs post on Mimaki setup environmental requirements covers the details.
