Buying guide
Which replacement part do you need?
Cutter blades. Blades are sold by cutter brand and angle. 45 degree is the standard blade for basic vinyl and lettering and lasts longest because the cutting load spreads over more of the edge; 60 degree has a deep angle for thick films such as reflective, glitter, flock and stencil and for tiny fonts; 30 and 35 degree are shallow blades for delicate 1 to 2 mil films. Graphtec and Vinyl Express Q Series blades come in 0.9 mm for the blue holder and 1.5 mm for the red holder; the 45 degree EnduraBlade fits Roland DG, GCC, Vinyl Express R Series, Rogue and EnduraCut cutters; MUSE, GCC (25 to 60 degree), Summa D and T Series (35 and 60), Ioline, Anagraph and Mimaki (30, 45, 60 and swivel blades) each have their own. The Tint Tek 20/20 carbide blade is for window tint film.
Blade holders. Holders are wear items: bearings and springs keep the blade at the right angle, and they need replacing over time. Graphtec and Q Series use the blue 0.9 mm and red 1.5 mm holders; Roland and Vinyl Express Rogue use the ceramic or alloy adjustable holder; MUSE and GCC have OEM holders for current and legacy cutters.
Cutter protection strips and mats. The strip under the blade wears with use, and a worn strip causes inconsistent cutting, unclean edges and early blade wear. Strips are stocked by model: Vinyl Express Q24, Q75, Q100, Q130/Q54 and Q160 and GRC 61/60, 76S and 101S; Roland CAMM-1 GX-24, GS-24, GX-300 and GX-400, CM-12/CX-12 and Stika SX/SV; MUSE M15, M24, M60 and Artisan; GCC; and Graphtec OEM Teflon cutting mats for the CE6000-40, -60 and -120 and FC9000-75, -100, -140 and -160. Pinch roller wheels, pinch roller assemblies, media flanges and bushings cover the feed side.
Printer maintenance. Genuine Mimaki parts include Maintenance Liquid 7, 11, 14, 15 and 16 (16 is the aggressive last-resort cleaner for stubborn clogs), wiper kits, cap and cap head assemblies, absorbers, pumps, filters, pinch rollers and waste ink tanks, each listing the printers it fits. Mutoh absorbent pads and the PrismJET 54 Gen2 and VJ24 periodic maintenance kits replace the maintenance assembly, wiper and cap top that PrismJET recommends changing annually. The UNINET IColor 600 fuser is here too.
Heat press parts. Hotronix quick-change platens, heat press pads, laser alignment, caddies, carts and stands; EnduraPRESS platens, lower platen wraps and Teflon sheets; Geo Knight stands, thermometer kit and cap, mug and plate attachments; and the SilverBolt 1620 floor stand.
Replacement part questions, answered
Which blade angle should I use: 30, 45 or 60 degree?
45 degree is the standard blade for almost all basic vinyl and lettering jobs; its wider angle spreads the cut over more of the edge so it lasts longer. 60 degree has a deeper angle for thicker films such as reflective, glitter, flock and stencil material and for tiny fonts. 30 and 35 degree are specialty blades with a shallow angle for delicate films 1 to 2 mils thick.
Which blade fits a Graphtec or Vinyl Express Q Series cutter?
It depends on the holder. The blue blade holder takes 0.9 mm blades and the red holder takes 1.5 mm blades; both come in 30, 45 and 60 degree. Vinyl Express Q and Qe Series and Graphtec CE and FC cutters share these blades and holders, and the same pinch roller wheel fits Graphtec FC and CE and Vinyl Express Qe60 and Q Series.
When should I replace the blade holder?
Blade holders are normal wear items. They do more than hold the blade: bearings and springs keep it at the correct angle for a precise cut, and as they wear, cut quality drops. Replace the holder when cuts degrade and a new blade does not fix it.
When should I replace the cutter protection strip?
When cuts become inconsistent, edges are unclean or blades wear early. The strip is the black or white strip under the blade that runs the length of the cutter; a worn strip causes ragged edges and ruined material. Strips are model specific, so match the listing to your cutter.
Which Mimaki maintenance liquid do I need?
The listings map the liquids to printers: Maintenance Liquid 7, 11, 14 and 15 are the daily cleaning liquids sold in kits, cartridges and bottles for their printer families, and Maintenance Liquid 16 is a very aggressive cleaner for specific Mimaki printers, used as a last resort for stubborn clogged nozzles in consultation with a Mimaki-certified technician. Check the compatible-model list on each product.
What is in a PrismJET periodic maintenance kit?
The maintenance assembly, wiper and cap top for the PrismJET 54 Gen2 or VJ24. Under normal conditions these are replaced annually to keep print quality consistent; busier shops replace them more often.
Do you carry heat press parts?
Yes: Hotronix quick-change platens for Stahls MAXX presses, heat press pads that raise the print area over seams and zippers, laser alignment, caddies, carts and stands; EnduraPRESS platens, lower platen wraps and Teflon sheets; Geo Knight stands and cap, mug and plate attachments; and the SilverBolt 1620 rolling floor stand.
Regular maintenance keeps a vinyl cutter or printer cutting and printing for years, and most of it comes down to a few wear parts. On a cutter that is the blade, the blade holder with its bearings and springs, the protection strip under the blade and the pinch rollers that feed the media. On a printer it is the wiper, cap, absorbers, pump and maintenance liquid that keep the print head clean.
This collection holds those parts for every machine SIGNWarehouse sells: 30, 35, 45 and 60 degree blades and holders for Graphtec, Vinyl Express, Roland DG, GCC, MUSE, Summa, Ioline, Anagraph and Mimaki cutters; cutter protection strips and Teflon mats by model; pinch roller wheels and assemblies, media flanges, plotter pens and cables; genuine Mimaki maintenance liquids, wiper kits, caps, absorbers, filters and pumps; Mutoh absorbent pads and the PrismJET periodic maintenance kits; and heat press platens, pads, wraps, Teflon sheets, stands and attachments from Hotronix, EnduraPRESS, Geo Knight and SilverBolt.
Each listing names the cutters or printers it fits. Ink is in the eco-solvent ink collection, and the Mimaki and Mutoh parts collections group the genuine parts by brand.
