How to choose eco-solvent ink
Match the ink to the printer. Eco-solvent ink is sold by printer family, and the listing names the machines it is warranted for. EnduraINK PRO Plus is the SIGNWarehouse-exclusive ink for PrismJET VJ24, VJ48, VJ54 and 54 Gen2 printers, in chipped 220 ml cartridges and one-liter pouches; EnduraINK PRO is the earlier formulation in 220 ml and 440 ml cartridges and 1,000 ml bags for the VJ24, VJ24X, VJ48 and VJ54. Mutoh MS41 is made for the XpertJet 1641SR and 1682SR in eight colors, Mutoh MS31 fits the ValueJet series and drops in for Eco-Ultra without flushing, and Mutoh MP31 is the multi-purpose ink for the VJ-1617 and VJ-1628MH. Roland Eco-Sol Max 2 comes in CMYK plus white 220 ml cartridges, and Mimaki ES3 in 220 and 440 ml.
Cartridge, bag or pouch. 220 and 440 ml cartridges are the standard fill. One-liter pouches and bags (EnduraINK PRO Plus, EnduraINK PRO, Mutoh MS41 and MS31) run longer between changes and need a bulk ink adapter; EnduraINK PRO 1,000 ml bags fit the PrismJET VJ54 and VJ64 with the adapter kit installed. The EnduraINK PRO Plus one-liter CMYK bundle is the four-color set.
Switching inks. EnduraINK PRO offers plug-and-play compatibility with equivalent formulation, gamut, density, scratch resistance and drying time, so you can switch back and forth from OEM ink. Moving a printer from EnduraINK PRO or Mutoh MS31 to PRO Plus takes the conversion kit: four 220 ml PRO Plus cartridges and four cleaning cartridges to flush the old ink.
Durability and certifications. EnduraINK PRO and PRO Plus and Roland Eco-Sol Max 2 are rated up to three years outdoors without lamination; EnduraINK PRO is Greenguard certified, California Prop 65 and CPSIA compliant; Mutoh MS31 carries Greenguard Gold and is Avery ICS and 3M Performance Guarantee qualified; Roland Eco-Sol Max 2 is Greenguard certified and needs no special ventilation.
Cleaning fluid and expiring stock. Each ink family has its cleaning cartridge or fluid: EnduraINK cleaning kit, Mutoh MS31 cleaning fluid, MS41 cleaning bag and Roland Eco-Sol Max 2 cleaning cartridge. Expiring Soon inks are the same cartridges within about 30 days of their date at a large discount, final sale.

Which eco-solvent ink fits my printer?
Buy by printer family. PrismJET VJ24, VJ48, VJ54 and 54 Gen2: EnduraINK PRO Plus (EnduraINK PRO also fits the VJ24, VJ24X, VJ48 and VJ54). Mutoh XpertJet 1641SR and 1682SR: MS41. Mutoh ValueJet: MS31. Mutoh VJ-1617 and VJ-1628MH: MP31. Roland: Eco-Sol Max 2. Mimaki: ES3. Each listing names the compatible machines.
Is EnduraINK the same as OEM ink?
EnduraINK PRO is formulated for plug-and-play compatibility with equivalent ink chemistry, color gamut, density, scratch resistance, drying time and odor, so a PrismJET can switch back and forth between OEM ink and EnduraINK PRO. EnduraINK PRO Plus is the newer formulation with a wider gamut, more vibrant color and improved compatibility with the TruePoint piezo print head.
How long does eco-solvent ink last outdoors?
EnduraINK PRO and PRO Plus are rated up to three years outdoors without lamination, and Roland Eco-Sol Max 2 is rated up to three years without lamination. Mutoh MS41 keeps the outdoor durability and abrasion resistance of the earlier Eco-Ultra ink. Laminating film extends the life of any print.
Should I buy cartridges or one-liter bags?
Cartridges (220 and 440 ml) fit as delivered. One-liter pouches and bags cost less per milliliter and run longer between changes, but they need a bulk ink adapter: EnduraINK PRO 1,000 ml bags require the bulk ink adapter kit and fit the PrismJET VJ54 and VJ64, and the EnduraINK PRO Plus one-liter CMYK bundle is used with the bulk ink adapter.
How do I switch from EnduraINK PRO or Mutoh MS31 to EnduraINK PRO Plus?
With the EnduraINK PRO Plus conversion kit: four 220 ml PRO Plus cartridges in cyan, magenta, yellow and black plus four 220 ml cleaning cartridges to flush the residual ink from the printer before the new ink goes in.
What are Expiring Soon inks?
The same cartridges and bags, sold at a large discount because they are within about 30 days of their expiry date. They suit busy shops that will use them quickly. Expiring Soon items are final sale and cannot be returned.
Is eco-solvent ink safe to use in the shop?
