How to choose a sign blank
Aluminum for permanent signs. The aluminum sign blanks are .040 in thick, prefinished with a wax-free baked enamel that takes vinyl directly, and come with one side masked. Sizes run from 7 x 10 in to 24 x 36 in, with 18 x 24 in in eight colors, 9 x 12 in with rounded corners, 12 x 12 in parking blanks in white or caution yellow and 6 x 24 in street sign blanks in five colors. The scroll bracket blanks are heavier 80 mil aluminum, white on both sides, with scalloped corners and two hanging holes.
Corrugated plastic for yard signs. Endura corrugated plastic sign blanks are 1/8 in thick with 4 mm vertical flutes, sold in 12 x 18, 18 x 24 and 24 x 36 in. The 18 x 24 in white blank comes in packs of 5 to 50 and in bundles with stakes. EnduraSTAKES are 10 x 30 in, 9-gauge galvanized wire; the heavy duty version has solid 1/4 in verticals, twice the thickness of a regular stake.
Magnetic for vehicles. EnduraMAG and Magnum 30 mil magnetic sheeting comes in 24 in rolls for vinyl lettering, and EnduraMAG pre-cut 12 x 24 in blanks have the rounded corners that prevent wind lift. DigiMAG printable magnetic in 12 or 20 mil prints directly on solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV printers without an overlaminate.
Banners, plates and engraving. EnduraMAX banner blanks in 10 or 13 oz are hi-heat welded with grommets every 24 in, from 2 x 4 ft to 4 x 20 ft. License plate blanks are 6 x 12 in in .025 and .040 in aluminum, 30 mil plastic in 27 patterns and mirrored acrylic in 14 colors. IPI Laserables 12 x 24 in sheets cover front and reverse engraving, brushed metal looks, thin and self-adhesive stocks and a laserable magnetic.
Holding the sign. Real estate sign frames are 3/4 in angle iron, made in the USA, for 18 x 24 in signs up to 5 mm thick, in single, single rider and dual rider styles. Metalcraft scroll brackets from 18 to 48 in hang aluminum, routed wood or HDU signs from a post or wall, and Spider Feet stand a rigid sign on a table or floor.

How thick are the aluminum sign blanks?
The standard aluminum sign blanks are .040 in thick, prefinished on both sides with a wax-free baked enamel and supplied with one side masked. The decorative blanks made for the scroll brackets are 80 mil (.080 in) aluminum, white on both sides.
Which blank should I use for yard signs?
Endura corrugated plastic. It is 1/8 in thick with 4 mm vertical flutes running parallel to the shorter edge, so a 10 x 30 in EnduraSTAKES wire stake slides into the flutes of an 18 x 24 in blank. The blanks come in quantities of 10, in packs of 5 to 50, or bundled with stakes.
Can I print directly on magnetic sheeting?
Yes, on DigiMAG. The 12 and 20 mil DigiMAG printable magnetic sheeting is made for solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV-curable inks and needs no overlaminate, although it is not compatible with most PrismJET, Mutoh ValueJet or XpertJet printers for direct printing. EnduraMAG CraftPRINT 8.5 x 11 in magnetic inkjet paper runs through a desktop inkjet printer. EnduraMAG and Magnum 30 mil sheeting is lettered with vinyl or screen printed.
Do the blank banners come with grommets?
EnduraMAX 10 oz and 13 oz banner blanks are finished with hi-heat welded seams and grommets every 24 in, ready to hang, in sizes from 2 x 4 ft to 4 x 20 ft. EnduraMAX banner blanks by the roll and PrismJET printable banner rolls are unfinished; Banner Ups adhesive grommet tabs and the BannerPRO hemming system finish them.
Are the license plate blanks suitable for sublimation?
No. The plastic and mirrored acrylic license plate blanks are marked not suitable for sublimation, and the aluminum blanks have a baked enamel or anodized mirror finish made for vinyl graphics. Sublimation panels such as DuraLuxe aluminum are in the sublimation blanks collection.
Which sign blanks fit the scroll brackets?
The 10 x 20 in blank fits a 24 in regular bracket, the 12 x 22 in blank a 24 in deluxe bracket and the 14 x 34 in blank a 36 in bracket. All three are 80 mil white aluminum with 2 in radius scalloped corners and two hanging holes; stainless steel hangers are sold separately except in the reverse scroll bracket sign kit, which includes a 22 x 33 in oval blank and a pair of hangers.
Are sign blanks sold individually?
Most are sold in shop quantities and the listing states the pack: the white aluminum blanks and 6 x 24 in street blanks in quantities of 5, the 12 x 12 in parking blanks and corrugated blanks in quantities of 10, aluminum license plates in 10, plastic and mirrored plates in 5, EnduraMAG pre-cut magnetic blanks as a set of 2 and real estate frames as a set of 5. Where the listing says so, the price shown is for a single blank.
