Pinch roller wheels keep the vinyl or other media locked down and straight for optimal tracking and they occasionally have to replaced. Use a replacement pinch roller wheel if and when original pinch roller wheels become flat-spotted or have otherwise become worn. Leaving pinch rollers lowered when the cutter is idle can cause flat spots and shorten useful service life.
