Overview

Applications

ORALITE® V98 Conformable Graphic Sheeting is a tough weather and solvent resistant microprismatic retroreflective product designed for vehicles that require increased visibility such as fire, EMS, police, utility, telecom and DOT. The material is plotter cuttable and easy to apply to smooth painted or unpainted vehicle surfaces. The single layer product does not require edge sealing, and is designed to be applicator friendly due to the potential to template fewer pieces than other prismatic graphic films. ORALITE® V98 meets/exceeds the requirements of NFPA 1901.

Features:

  • High-tack Adhesive
  • Superior Conformability
  • Prismatic retroreflective performance
  • Mono-layered construction means no edge sealing required
  • ASTM D4956 / NFPA 1901 Compliant
  • 5 Year Durability

Ideal for utility vehicles that require increased visibility such as telecom, DOT, fire, EMS, and police vehicles.

Application Instructions:

  • Position the templated piece on the vehicle with the liner still attached. Attach the piece to vehicle surface with masking tape along the top edge. Place the masking tape such that half the masking tape is on the piece and half will be in contact with the surface. The tape will serve as a hinge during the application. Ensure that the template piece is in the exact desired position.
  • Remove the liner and squeegee the piece into place. Avoid touching the adhesive side of the material, particularly the edges, during application
  • If repositioning the piece is necessary, it should be done carefully. Slowly pull back the film at a 90º angle. The film can stretch if pulled too hard or too fast.
  • Remove the masking tape and the re-squeegee all edges.
