Let's review the recommended settings for Q-Series and Graphtec Cutters
On the Q-Series, the settings we generally recommend when cutting regular vinyl (2-4 mil) are:
Speed: 20 (This is up to you really. In general we recommend that the slower you run the cutter, the better quality of a cut you will get.)
Force: 14-16 (You only want enough force needed for the blade to pierce the material.)
Tool: CB09U (When using the blue-tipped blade holder.) The machine has 8 "Conditions" which are actually presets that allow for quickly setting up the machine to cut different types of materials.
By utilizing these preset conditions you don't have to change each individual setting every time you cut a particular material, simply change to the Condition number that you've previously set up for that material.
