How often should I do a manual cleaning on my DTF Station printer?
We recommend that you do a manual cleaning on your printer at the end of the each work day. Doing so will help maintain optimal print quality and prevent ink delivery issues. You will use a DTF Station cleaning solution, along with cleaning swabs, to complete these tasks.
What is the shelf life for my inks?
DTF Station inks have a shelf life of 18 months from the date they are manufactured, as long as they remain unopened. Once the inks have been opened, they have a shelf life of six months.
We recommend making note of when you open each bottle of ink and writing the anticipated expiration date on the bottle when doing so.
How long can I safely leave my printer turned off?
White ink is prone to separation if left unattended for too long and can cause damage or clogging in the print head, dampers, and ink lines.
It is critical that you perform daily maintenance actions. For a period longer than three days, you need to use the provided long-term storage cartridges to flush the print head free of ink. An extended period of time beyond a week requires flushing the white ink bottle and ink lines at a minimum. Contact support if you are uncertain what configuration you should leave your printer in before traveling or storing it.
DO NOT STOP AGITATING WHITE INK OR PERFORMING DAILY MAINTENANCE ACTIONS WHILE WAITING FOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT. STAGNATION OF WHITE INK CAN CAUSE FURTHER ISSUES OR WORSEN EXISTING ONES.
