Whatâs New?
The Gen3 Q Series cutters are more productive, efficient, and capable than ever. The Gen3 Q Series has been upgraded with more force, speed, and precision. Plus, weâve added some popular new features. To keep up with demand in the busiest of sign and enterprise environments, Q Series vinyl cutters now cut at speeds up to 55 inches per second. Force has been increased by 25% to a maximum of 500 grams.
The ARMS firmware has been updated to provide the most effortless and efficient decal production to date. You can now print registration marks directly to the media edge to reduce material costs as well as segment them for continuous scanning. Use just about any media you can think of from reflective vinyl, laminate glossy film, prismatic metallic film and other non-traditional media and enjoy better alignment for longer print and cut jobs than ever before. And we added a canvas catch basket to keep your cuts clean.

Whatâs the maximum cutting force?
The third generation Vinyl Express Q Series cutters are faster and stronger than ever. The maximum cutting force has been increased by 25% to a maximum of 500 grams. This is more than enough to cut any adhesive-backed film in the sign industry, including sandblast stencil film, reflective film and automotive paint protection film.
Does it contour-cut?
Contour-cutting for the production of printed decals is one of the Q Seriesâ core capabilities. Gen3 Q Series vinyl cutters are enhanced with the latest ARMS 8.0 firmware enabling accurate scanning and cutting on colored and reflective films, and cutting outside printed registration marks.
Does it perf-cut for pop-out decals?
Yes. The Q Seriesâ mission has always included tackling the most demanding vinyl production jobs. This includes precise perforation of vinyl graphics for the production of âpop-outâ contour-cut decals. The dual-slot tool carriage and grooved platen facilitate perf-cutting without excessive wear on the hardware or consumables.
